Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains what information Marquee Works (“we,” “our,” or “us”) collects when you use our website, purchase a build, or otherwise interact with us, and how we use, share, and protect that information.
1. Information we collect
We collect three kinds of information:
- Information you provide directly — your name, business name, email address, phone number, address, the content of your questionnaire responses, the photos and copy you give us for your site, and any messages you send us.
- Payment information — handled and stored exclusively by Stripe. We never see or store your card number; we only receive a token from Stripe so we can match payments to your project.
- Information we collect automatically — basic site analytics (page views, referrer, device type) and email engagement data (opens and clicks on emails we send you, if your client supports those signals).
2. How we use it
- To design, build, host, and launch the website you hired us for
- To communicate with you about your project (questionnaire links, mockups, invoices, launch confirmation)
- To process payments and care-plan subscriptions
- To improve our service and outreach quality
- To comply with legal obligations (tax reporting, etc.)
3. Who we share it with
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with the service providers we need to run the business:
- Stripe — payment processing
- Resend — transactional and outreach email delivery
- Supabase — database hosting for our internal records
- Vercel — hosting for your launched site and our own systems
- Anthropic — the AI that drafts initial copy and emails (your data is not used to train any model)
- Pexels / Hunter.io / Google PageSpeed Insights — image, contact, and performance lookups
We may also share information when required by law or to protect rights, property, or safety.
4. How long we keep it
Active client records are retained for as long as your care plan is active. After cancellation, we retain financial records for seven years to comply with tax law, and other records are deleted within 90 days unless you ask us to keep them.
5. Your rights
You can ask us at any time to:
- See the personal information we have about you
- Correct anything that’s wrong
- Delete it (subject to legal retention requirements)
- Export it in a portable format
- Stop sending you marketing email — every email also has an unsubscribe link

6. Security
We use industry-standard safeguards: TLS in transit, encrypted backups, and access controls on our internal systems. No method is 100% secure — if a breach occurs we’ll notify affected customers within 72 hours of discovery.
7. Children
Our services are intended for small-business owners and aren’t directed at children under 16. We don’t knowingly collect data from anyone under 16.
8. Changes
If we change this policy materially, we’ll update the “last updated” date and, for active customers, email you ahead of the change taking effect.
